Goleta once again garners national attention for its safety, and is the only city in Santa Barbara County to make the top 100 safest cities list in California by LendEDU. LendEDU, a financial products company specializing in student loans, knows that the safety of a city is a determining factor of where to live. The top 100 safest cities in each state were ranked based on their total crime risk score and on the difference between their score and the national average total crime risk score of 100. This is Goleta’s sixth award for being a safe city in five years.
