Goleta Raises Pride Flag for LGBTQ+ Pride Month

The Pride Flag is flying at Goleta City Hall throughout June in recognition of LGBTQ+ Pride Month. On June 1, 2026, Goleta City Council along with City Manager Robert Nisbet, Assistant City Manager Jaime Valdez, and General Services Director Matthew Fore, gathered for a flag-raising ceremony to mark the occasion.

The City Council also officially recognized LGBTQ+ Pride Month with a proclamation at its June 2 meeting. Councilmember James Kyriaco presented the proclamation to DeeJay Johnson, Donor Relations Manager for the Pacific Pride Foundation, in recognition of Pride Month and the contributions of LGBTQ+ community members.

Pride Month celebrates identity, inclusion, and belonging while recognizing the many ways LGBTQ+ individuals contribute to and strengthen the community. The Pride Flag raising and proclamation reflect the City of Goleta’s ongoing commitment to fostering a welcoming and inclusive community for all.
