City Hall, Goleta Valley Library and Goleta Community Center

The City of Goleta would like to wish our community a happy holidays! We would also like to remind you about our upcoming holiday closures. 

• Goleta City Hall and all non-emergency departments will be closed from Wednesday, December 24, 2025, through Thursday, January 1, 2026. Please continue to report problems or concerns through City Assist at www.CityofGoleta.org/CityAssist.
  
  
• For emergencies, call 9-1-1.
  
  
• The Goleta Valley Library, Bookvan, Buellton Library, and Solvang Library will all be closed December 24th, 25th, 31st and January 1st. Visit the e-Library for 24/7 access to eBooks, audiobooks, music, movies, magazines and more for free with your library card.
  
  
• The Goleta Community Center (GCC) will be closed December 24th, 25th, 26th, 31st as well as January 1st and 2nd.

Congrats to Councilmember Jennifer Smith (District 3) for being selected by the City Council as the next Mayor Pro Tempore at the December 16 Goleta City Council meeting. She will serve a one-year term. With this appointment comes a new seat next to the Mayor at Council meetings and an important leadership role representing the City.

As Mayor Pro Tempore, she will step in for Mayor Perotte at events or meetings during her absence. Thank you to Mayor Pro Tempore Jennifer Smith for stepping up to serve in this leadership position.
